Brought up in the heart of Fort Worth, Texas, Nashville-based indie rock singer-songwriter Caroline Carter is anything but a “lone star.” Carter’s lyricism centers around growing up, discovering herself as an individual, and the queer southern experience. Influenced by the likes of artists such as Madison Cunningham, Phoebe Bridgers, and Soccer Mommy, Carter provides heavy-hitting words through a soft-spoken voice–both in and outside of her music.

Carter’s love of writing and storytelling began in high school, after competing in a local playwriting competition for a theatre assignment. after learning how to marry her love of writing and music into the art of songwriting, they were led to nashville.

As Carter pivots from the indie pop softness found in their debut EP, “I Did What I Promised” to their glitchy, bubble-grunge sophomore project, one thing can remain true- our narrator is honest to a fault. Caroline’s lyrical north star is to always write to the truth, no matter how daunting it may be.
